How to Brand Your Purpose for a Better Business

With Monchiere Holmes-Jones

What does it mean to brand your purpose? You may know in your heart what your purpose is in this life. You may be working to establish your brand. But how do these two connect to each other, and how can that connection lead to a better brand, business, and profit for you? Monchiere Holmes-Jones, Chief Brand Curator of MOJO Marketing + PR, sat with us this week to discuss her experience in the marketing industry. Our conversation ranged from how to brand your purpose to what makes a great entrepreneur, and even if your brand is more important than your business. To hear Monchiere’s insights and a few great stories, listen to the full podcast below!

Before the interview, we asked Monchiere to answer a few fun questions for us. These were her answers…

Q: What is your business super power?

A: Warding off the EPs (Enemy of Progress). As entrepreneurs in the social media age, we face many many distractions that pull us away from our vision and brand purpose.  My super power wards off EPs with my magic watch where I focus on loving my minutes versus wasting them.

Q: If you weren’t an entrepreneur, what would your career be?

A: Senator of the United States (Yeah, I need to be making change in this world no matter what I do!)

Q: What is the biggest lesson you learned since starting your business?

A: Dwell in the uncomfortable state of mind, don’t run from it! Now, that’s easier said then done but DO IT!

Q: Apple or PC? Why?

A: Both.  Apple for the protection.  PC for windows software.

Q: Tell us one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you.

A: I dream of having a land full of animals 5 dogs, 6 horses, and one 1 cat.

Q: How can people connect with you online?

A:  @MonchiereHjones on everything Twitter/Facebook/Instagram
